New Merch + Update

Hey guys, happy new year! Want a little update to make sure we're okay? Well, we have barely been writing (we honestly never really hung out as a band much, so we've been doing that a lot more lately) but we have a few little diddies for songs and rough ideas, hopefully they will take shape soon. We decided for the hell of it to practice our old songs the other day and they felt fresh and new, and sounded WAYYY better than we've ever done them, so maybe that's a good sign. Haha. And other than just running through the random Blink songs we all know, we've been working on a new song that so far we just jammed on. It's related to a game the three of us all share a common love for, the game being Metal Gear Solid. We're all big fans and so Manny wanted to do a kind of tribute thing, but with our own lyrics and music. It sounded really cool and after we get that out of the way, we'll work on David's song and I've got a few lined up next. Look out for the newer sound, because it's....newer....and awesome.......Yeah.

Okay, so I put together an easier little system for our merch and stuff, so now you can see everything much better! I spent a lot of time on this useless crap, so at least look at it. Once we finish construction on our site (who knows how long it'll take - complete revamping) there will be a page specifically for our merch. Now since we can't set up an online store yet, all merch must be purchased at shows or requested to Manny, Dave or I. Anyway, some of these are currently out of stock but will be available when we resume our shows, unless stated otherwise.

Band update 11/15/09

Hi there, everyone. Yes, my penis is STILL that huge. But anyway, some of you may have noticed our new member, Obi-Wan Tromboney (or sometimes known as Roy). We are building a horn section for certain songs. We are really excited about it and if you or a friend play trumpet or saxophone, hit us up. We're looking!

With this new change comes new possibilities. New cover ideas, too! We are for sure doing a Streetlight Manifesto song (I refuse to let them talk me out of it) and Dave wants to do a Suicide Machines cover. So when we're back, look out for those!

Our first new song is written and on the 'finishing touches' stage. I think it sounds really awesome and I look forward to presenting you with it. Another song is being crafted, too! Dave's got a good amount of the lyrics ready and I am going to help him finish it off, and we have the very beginnings of music, too! We have also only been practicing our 4 main covers (AFI, Slick Shoes, Guttermouth, and Blink), C.H.F.Y., My Private Religion, and our intro. The only songs that will be OFFICIALLY kept. Don't worry, though. You will still see us play Mary and all our other classics sprinkled into our sets every once in awhile.

Anyway, we can't wait to see you guys again! How about a list of bands we wanna cover? Okay, good!

AFI
Misfits
Bad Religion
Streetlight Manifesto
Comeback Kid
Andrew Jackson Jihad
Teen Idols
Descendants
Big D And The Kids Table
Dramarama

Suicide Machines
Guttermouth
NOFX
The Vandals

Friends, Family, Fans.........

No Advisory is on an indefinite hiatus. Though the problem is internal, there is no ill will. We are still the best of friends, but due to some unforeseen circumstances, we will not be playing shows probably until sometime next year. We will come back, and when we do, we promise to be a powerhouse of punk rock. We have also realized that we cannot keep playing these same songs. Three years is enough. We are taking the time off to reflect on our goals as a band and work on some completely new material. Also joining us when we return will be tons and tons of new merch. All upcoming shows have been cancelled, and we apologize to 118 West and all the bands excited about playing there on the 14th, and Kyle. We would have loved to grace your stages. We thank all of you for the support you have given us over the years and for coming to see us play the same old shit over and over and over again. It breaks our hearts to know that you will be farting and we won't be there to laugh. But it's time we move forward.

See you in '10

This week

No Advisory will be working on new songs. Yay! We also have some new merch ideas, like the re-release of the Master Debaters EP, limited to 50 copies for now. There will be a bundle pack available for our November 7th show at 118 West, which will feature RE:Master Debaters, a shirt, and a sticker for the low low price of $12. Well, it will still be available after. Anyway, what an update! Tomorrow I will post all our merch and the prices!

~The wheeeeeeeenie of Matt

Our website is down

And I, sir Weenie, feel the need to update more often with random shit. So here is the No Advisory blogspot page. Set lists every night, with a slight description of the evening, daily NA activities, new songs, all that good crap.

So, in the middle of the night, I announce that we have two new shirt designs being made. And like before, I am making them myself, with the mrs. She does some, too! She actually designed and painted one of our best shirts! And I think we are gonna make more of Dave's "To Smear Poop On Her Arms" shirts. Those will be fun. But we are getting some red ink tomorrow to spice up our designs. No more just black and white choices.

Last night we played our first show in over four months. And in that time we wrote one new song (an instrumental intro), learned three new covers (two of which played last night), and have actually gotten even worse! We finally did an AFI song, even though I've been requesting it for almost two years now. The show was fun and we enjoyed ourselves, as usual, but as it went on I began fucking up more and more. I forgot so many lyrics, played the MPR solo all jumbled and incorrectly, and sang even more off key than usual. Video and pictures will be up soon. But we sold four of the seven hand made No Advisory shirts last night, and the money is gonna pay for more shirts. And from now on, all show posts will be titled by the venue and date, like so: World Music - 10/23/09

Boner Toner
Indifferent
My Private Religion
C.H.F.Y.
Shenanigans
Don't Make Me Ill - AFI
Mary Goes Around
Joe's Sick - Slick Shoes
Gametime
Follow the Freeway
Where Have All The Punkers Gone?
Carousel
Look At My Fupa
The Escape

And it was nice seeing our manager, El Juan. He's been really busy lately and finally had the time to come all the way out here to see us, even though he had to be somewhere at like 8am.
